This course provides an introduction to software and concepts of working in 3D. Students learn the tools necessary to navigate a 3D environment and to edit and build 3D models. Various relevant topics are taught and discussed, including texturing, animation, and rendering. Maxon Cinema 4D is used as the primary application for this course. The class will focus on the mechanics and fundamentals of Cinema 4D, an industry-standard 3D animation package, as well as concepts and fundamentals related to 3D animation and motion design. The tools and techniques learned in this course can be applied throughout many aspects and levels of the visual arts industry including television, motion pictures and the internet.
