This course explores how to solve various image-related art and design industry problems utilizing advanced techniques in Adobe Photoshop. Students create portfolio assets, ranging from single to composite images. Color theory, image manipulation and color correction of existing files are covered. Adobe Photoshop is used as the primary application for this course. The class will focus on the mechanics and advanced techniques of Photoshop, an industry-standard imaging and illustration software package, as well as concepts and fundamentals related to the commercial visual arts. The tools and techniques learned in this course can be applied throughout all aspects and levels of the visual arts industry.
