This course provides an introduction to the concepts, tools, and practices used in creating animated images, or motion graphics. Storytelling, workflow, animation principles, and more will be used to help students understand this evolving field. Adobe After Effects is taught as the primary application for this course. The class will focus on the mechanics and fundamentals of After Effects, an industry-standard video effects tool, as well as concepts and fundamentals related to video and motion design. The tools and techniques learned in this course can be applied to television, motion pictures, and the internet.
